Hi,
If you want to know more about waves, take a look at http://www.rsc.org/learn-chemistry/collections/spectroscopy/introduction#Introduction. The introduction has an animation to help you understand frequencies.
You might also like to take a look at one of the winning entries of the RSC Bill Bryson Prize – here some secondary school students talk about how waves help to keep us healthy (plus they talk about frequency!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lhv4jMbdr7I&list=PLLnAFJxOjzZvOufVNexm2-RLV4fQ6R1V4&index=3
