  I am funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council or EPSRC. It is a government run body that invest tax payers money into research projects that they think are worthwhile. The type of PhD i am on also has some funding from local companies and some Pharmaceutical companies a list of which can be found here: http://synthesiscdt.chm.bris.ac.uk/industrypartners
  
  but none of these partners influence the work i do. With the help of my supervisor Prof Duncan Wass, i decide what to do during my project.
