I really enjoy cycling I have cycled across france and the length of Portugal as well as doing tours in the UK. Next year i am going to try and cycle up the west coast of america (L.A. to Seattle). I used to swim competitively at school and rowed for 10 years some of which was as part of the GB squad.

is the world going to run out of energy?
Matthew commented on :
The Earth may run out of energy stored in fossil fuels but we receive so much energy from the sun every day that if we use it properly we will never run out of energy as long as the sun still shines (which will be for a very long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long long TIME)

What is the scientific name for the energy in your body?
Matthew commented on :
The energy that is stores in our bodies is chemical energy and this is mostly in the form of fats, sugars and proteins that we can break down and use their energy. Our body also uses electrical energy in our brains and muscles and converts the chemical energy into kinetic energy so we can move.

How can the Efficiency of a Radiator be Improved?
Matthew commented on :
Radiators are for cooling hot water or for heating air next to the radiator to heat up a room. Either way heat in the fluid flowing through the radiator has to be transferred to the air as quickly as possible. One way to do this would be to make the radiator out of something that conduct heat well (this is why radiators are made out of metal instead of wood). The best way to increase the efficiency would be to increase the surface area of the radiator so that more of the hot fluid was exposed to the cold air and so would give up its heat more quickly.
