I’ve not seen any good evidence of life, but it looks like there definitely was water on Mars, so the chances that there was life at some point is good. Although we don’t know what that life might have been, maybe it was just bacteria or bugs!
As far as I know … no. But as Matthew says … there was water found on Mars. And for all forms of life we have observed on our planet, though animals and plants can live in extreme conditions … they always need water to live.
But let me put it another way. There are billions and billions of galaxies out there. Each of these galaxies has billions of stars. Each of these stars are quite likely to have planets orbiting them. What do you think is more likely … that in these billions and billions and billions of planets, Earth is the only one to sustain life, or that somewhere out there … there is another planet, of a similar climate and atmosphere to our own which can sustain life?
Whether or not the ability to sustain life is proof that it HAS life is another question.
Although there have been many robots on missions to fid life there has been no scientific analysis that there is life out there.
Even though there is water on Mars, I personally don’t think that there is life on mars. The amount of robots that have been sent there and no results have come back of any human life, makes a pretty good pount that there is no life on Mars!
