Question: since u like developing new product give me a example and what it has to do with science

Well I design engine oils for air craft. These engine oils are made up of many different components and I have to make sure that all the chemistry of the different components will work together and produce the correct product for the job.

The main parts of an engine oil are:

Base Oil (this comes from crude oil from the refinery) which is made from hydrocarbons and is very slippery, so good for engine oil!
Additives: We put in all sorts of components to make the oil better, detergents to keep the engines clean, anti-oxidants to keep the oil fresh and anti-wear agents to help keep all the parts in the engine like new!

Each of these components has a unique chemistry, so I have to look at them all individually and make sure they are right for the job and then look at them together to make sure they all work well with each other.

When I develop a new product I will look at many different components and choose only the best ones for the application I am working on!
