• Question: what do you in your spare time?

      Surfing or walking my dog Siro on the beach or chilling with my wife.

      I like to ride my bike a go hiking. I’m also big into SCUBA diving and go away for the weekend whenever I can to do that. A couple of weeks ago I went to the Bahamas and did some great diving, we saw lots of fish, rays and even sharks!

      Great question!

      Us scientists, believe it or not, are normal people just like yourselves. Just because we spend a lot of the time in labcoats and playing around with test tubes doesn’t mean we don’t also enjoy watching telly! 😛

      In my spare time, I hang out with my friends (a lot of which are scientists) and we try not to talk about work. But we do anyway. I watch TV, read books, and play video games to relax (Any of you lot play video games? Most recently I played Bioshock Infinite, it was amazing!). I also love food, both cooking and eating it so I’ll spend a lot of time in the kitchen. I suppose it’s the skills I learnt in the lab which make me pretty good in the kitchen!

      I also try to keep in shape, going to the gym, running and playing tennis. Though not nearly us much as I should.

      I will find some movies to watch either at home or in the movie theater. Sometimes, I also do some exercises.
