I love the fact that you can discover new things and be doing an experiment that no one has ever tried before! I don’t know many other jobs where you can do that almost every day!

What’s your favourite thing about science? 🙂

trying new things, drawing a suggestion on a piece of paper and seeing if it works in practice. I like setting up experiments, teaching people chemistry and helping them get better practical skills and understanding of why they should be doing certain things during a practical.

I like speaking to my family (no one does science) and getting them excited about what i am doing/ science in general. There is so much to learn, science should not be kept to the scientists. It is for everyone.

Designing an experiment or having an idea and making it work.

Most things don’t work first time and require a few goes to get something right. But when it does go right, I run around the lab with my lab coat over my head like a premier league footballer who’s just scored a goal!

I love the moment when my proposed theory matches the results I found in my designed experiments.

      My favourite thing? THIS!

I love talking to people about science, especially those who are interested and don’t otherwise have a place to learn. Science is about asking questions and trying to get answers to them through research and experimentation. By asking my a question about science, you’re effectively doing your own research!

I’m constantly learning in this field of work, and I never want to stop learning. Hopefully you guys feel a similar way!
