      I think the first version of mobile phones is the radio receiver/transmitter ( Motorola SCR-300) developed by an engineering team (Dan Noble, Henryk Magnuski, Marion Bond, Lloyd Morris, and Bill Vogel) in 1940 at the Galvin Manufacturing Company.
